Support for Families Affected by Gun Violence
The Carly Way Foundation also seeks to provide temporary financial assistance to families grieving the loss of a child due to gun violence.
During times of devastating loss, many families are unable to work consistently while managing grief, funeral planning, legal matters, and emotional recovery. Our goal is to help relieve some of the immediate financial burdens families may face during this painful time.
Potential Assistance May Include:
Funeral expenses
Rent or housing assistance
Utility assistance
Emergency household support
Referrals to grief counseling and community resources
Eligibility Considerations
Support may be available for families who:
Have lost a child to gun violence
Demonstrate financial hardship related to the loss
Submit basic documentation and application materials

Financial and Logistical Support
Assisting grieving families involves offering practical help (meals, errands), emotional presence (listening without judgment, sitting in silence), and ongoing support (remembering the deceased, acknowledging special dates).
