Nonprofit Organization Dedicated to Supporting Student Athletes and Grieving Families

Our Inspiration

Carly Way Foundation was established 2021 after the murder of Carlesa Taylor all-star player for

Ecorse High School, Michigan

Carlesa, loved the game of basketball and looking forward to attending college to study "Sport Medicine" but all of Carlesa's hopes and dreams were stolen from her due to a senseless act of gun violence, therefore in her honor CFW mission is to eliminate financial hurdles for all other student athletes.

We will focus on empowering young talent by providing scholarships for participation fees, educational expenses, and team-related costs.

Our goal is to foster a supportive environment where every student athlete can thrive without financial constraints.

Our other main focus will be grieving families dealing with the loss of a child, when a grieving family can't work, they need to allow yourself time to grieve and process your emotions, communicate needs (time off, flexibility) with employers, unable to work therefore needing assistance with household bills.

No family should have to deal with this devastating loss alone.
